It was the height of covid in August of 2020 when a match was made on the dating site, Bumble. For those that don't know anything about Bumble, this dating site is different than others because the girl has to make the first move and she only has 24 hours to message the guy or the match disappears. As Will remembers it, I waited until the 23rd hour. I don't remember it that way! Haha But I guess I had to make him sweat it out a little.
Our first phone call lasted about an hour, our 2nd was about the same, then the phone calls turned into FaceTimes. FaceTime dinners, FaceTime movies, FaceTime just to say "Hi". From August 21st until October 30th, we were 2 peas in a pod. The thing is... we hadn't actually met in person yet. We were very cautious of letting down our guard with covid until we decided it was time. Halloween seemed like as good a time as any for us to venture out and meet each other face to face. By this time Will was my best friend and I think if you ask him he would say the same thing. We talked about everything and our bond was growing. Meeting him was the natural next step, but there is no doubt I had already fallen head over heels for him. Even Bougie, my blind sassy Chihuahua accepted Buster, Will's 80 lb Shepherd/Lab goofball. And Bougie doesn't make friends with anyone, but she knew Will and Buster were worth it.
